I'm not a 'truckie' by trade, but feel both the art and science of truck work is becoming lost here in my area to the north! As an engine guy there's no better sound than that of a K-12 working above my head to open the roof. I won't comment often, but hope to learn from the more experienced members of the group. W/O looking, also I don't feel we carry enough ladders. It seems that apparatus are spec'd to meet NFPA's requirements instead of the acctual needs of the response area being served by the apparatus.
