Tradition is the most important and interesting aspect of the fire job ! Please visit my website about the history of the fire helmets and hats from 1658 ! Some of the hats shown in book fetched 30,000 $ at auction. please go to www.firehelmetbook.com

Well I'm pretty excited to be apart of this group. I'm new to the site and really have not been around to long. However I'm a pretty big advocate about Tradition in the Fire Service. It is one thing that can keep morale boosted in the FD if taught and used properly. Look forward to all the new information I will retain from being a member of, "Tradition."

Our local volunteer fire department has an old fire bell that was originally used at the firehouse in 1909. I am looking for information on "bell codes" that may have been used back in the day to signify units in service and/or out of service.

Does anyone in the group have a list of bell codes or can you direct me in the right location?

    Thanks and be safe!
