It is a lot of mone up front but you Will Not regret having a leather lid! I have had mine for 4 years and I love it! The only problem I am dealing with now is a new Chief and Asst. Chief who both do not like Leather.
What is the point of discussion here? Blathering about our Leathers? HELL, I CAN DO THAT!!
I wear the N6A, and absolutely love it!! A chief I know commented that Leather helmets were nothing but EGO, ........I must be an EGOmaniac! Seriously, the thing I like about the N6A is that it sits low on the head, I don't feel like I'm gonna get my neck ripped off like when you wear the newer lightweight stuff. My neck did have to beef up for the weight, that took a while, but now, 5 years later, I'm never goin' back. Its in the blood now.
Front by Andrew at Box Alarm Leather (www.boxalarmleather.com). While i attempt to make shields from time to time I can't hold a candle to Andrew. Every piece Andrew does is a true work of art, and they really do withstand the rigors of the job.

The front was made by Brandon Roark of Indiana Fire News, he was one of our firefighters a few years back. Beautiful work to adorn a beautiful lid!
