ANCHORAGE, Alaska — After 14 years on the job, Anchorage firefighter Andy Mullen died Monday night from cancer.

It was determined Mullen got cancer after being exposed to toxic smoke on the job.

It seemed like a routine fire at Ship Creek, but for Mullen it was a day that would ultimately turn deadly.
