Two recent fires in Massachusetts destroyed two-story, colonial-style homes in a matter of minutes. While the origin and causes were quickly determined, it was the speed of the fire in relation to the factory based construction that has raised an alarm. The threat of early structural collapse is very real in modular construction fires. We are discovering that while these construction techniques are well known within the modular industry, they are not as well known to members of the fire service.
