Your editorials are always great, but I especially like the Feb., 2018. With what is happening in the U. S. political arena today, we need more people like Davey Crocket to come back in to the fold. Great analogy Bobby, I always look forward to your writings.
My Apologies, I guess I should have read closer to the disclaimers.
I will remove myself immediately. My intention was not to be deceitful but to protect the identity of my community, department and Chief.
Bobby thanks for showing interest in our training facility, it was customized and built by american fire training systems. It has a class A burner, SCBA maze with configurable walls, forcible entry doors, Denver Drill window, vertical ventilation prop, vertical drop for confined space entry, stair case for hose drills, elevator door prop, multiple windows for bailouts, pickups, etc. Four floors for high rise simulation with stand pipes, and 10000 mbs high angle anchor. We are thrill with our "toy".
Myself and another firefighter were recently disciplined for authoring an article in Fire Engineering. Our Chiefs perspective is that city property (including bunker gear, apparatus, and tools in the photos) is not to be used for non-city business. Is this a standard policy in fire departments and cities around the nation? If so, how do the rest of your authors navigate these issues? What was your perspective as Chief of Albuquerque? Thanks for considering.
Thanks Bobby, I'm proud to be the first community member from the Netherlands and I'm very curious how you guys manage budget cuts and how the results of the 'live burn' experiments on Governors Island in New York will affect the common tactics. In the Netherlands firegroundtactics are also 'hot issues', same as reducing engine staffing. So I'll stay focucused on that.
Great to here from you!!! No excused I just joined a few minuets ago and it is long overdue.
Excited about Steve Kraft!!! Your ears must have been burning Jodi and I were discussing you in our meeting today I was going to reach out this afternoon but got tied up! Exciting year this year and I am so honoured to be contributing to FDIC!
We are bringing over 50 people in our direct contingent this year and many more indirectly. We have decided to officially support your run with our Canada group and have offered to pay the entry for all of our group that wish to participate. Jodi and I were discussing it today and I believe we have 25 plus at last count. With your permission we were going to have you over the night of the run again later in the evening at your convenience, we were planning around 21:00. (I will need a little time to get my heart started again! Not sure I have ran since your last run!)
Drove a friend of yours Rick Lasky to the Calgary airport a few months ago, what a great guy! I am speaking at the Northern Ontario Chiefs next week and just switched spots with Billy Goldfeder so he could come a day later to accommodate a personal request, Looking forward to meeting him as well!
I just saw your post, my company was there however it was the opposite shift. They did a great job. While it is still under investigation it looks like the power went out and something might have went wrong with the the water heaters pilot light. When the power went back on the house exploded.

That depends on if I owe you money...just kidding. Yes Sir I am. It is certainly more than I deserve. We met once while I was helping with the Verticle Vent team at FDIC. Thanks for hosting us once again. Hope all is well Boss and looking forward to FDIC.
Hi Bobby.. Hmm I'm not old enough, but I will ask around at the firehouse though. I'm sure some of members may remember him. I'll update my profile soon.
