Thanks for joining CSF (Common Sense Firefighting ) It's a fire ground desision making page. Join in at any time. We have some good discussions going right now. In Chicago, we have a tough time with cold weather, I bet you guys have a much more difficult time! What is Ancora Imparo? How may members do you get on a first due alarm?
Thanx Brother, I know the feeling, I have been there several times when we have to pick up and gone on, but you know thats what the ones that have left us behind train us for. Ben just has the right words to say what we all think.
Take Care!!! KTF

Hey Brad, I was glad to give Brent the Leather. Our 2 chapters area as close as we can...even though its over a thousand miles between us. You guys have shown Pres. Berg your hospitality and we just reciprocated.....Take Care Brother, Sven
Yeah starting over is a little tuff. Great department though with a great probation( meaning hard to pass). The whole year there are test and practical exams that are not easy. I love it here. Ill be up there soon. KTF
Just added a video from You tube taken Thursday night by a passerby on his cell phone. The fire was on the
West side of Fairbanks in the University of Alaska Fire Departments first due area. The building was a total loss and 75 firefighters from around the area fought valiantly to extinguish t he fire in below zero temps.
Chief Halton, sorry I was unable to attend the conference this year in Juneau but I would like to meet and have a chat with you sometime in the future. I was however very fortunate to attend the NFFF memorial this was my first time and It was t a great experience. Got to see some of my brothers like Danny Mcdonough and Vinny Brennan from the NFFF, Chief Ron Coleman and got to chat with Chief Sarniki and finally meet Chief Paulson. The NFA is only a half hour away from where I grew up in Pa and started fighting fire at the tender age of 14 in 1985. I correspond occasionally with Chief Lasky and Chief Salka both of whom I havemeet here in Alaska and return occasionally.
Keep up the excellant work on the Fire engineering .com website and the magazine! YOU ARE making a difference. I came up with this phrase a few years ago "Let us not become a name on the Walk of Honor but Learn and Live to Walk in Their Honor" helps me to remember why we train and look out for one another
We are excited to have you participate in our discussions and interactive forums. Before you begin posting, please take a moment to read our policy page HERE. -- Bobby Halton
