Glenn or anyone else has anyone ever heard of a "Klondike". I am a probationary firefighter with a paid department in upstate NY (Albany FD). The money that the guys in the station put together to buy regular station staples is what the call a klondike. I have searched allover the internet for the orgin and all i can find is about the river and gold rush. If that is the orgin do you now how and why the term madr it to the fire service. I have found that there a several other departments that use the term.
Mr. Corbett this is Michael Lewis. We met at Northern Kentucky for the beverly hills meeting. You showed me the pdf file for the Governor's Report. I got the pdf file and I was curious to who got the pdf and posted it in the file cabinet and how I could get in touch with them. Thank you very much and have a great day.

Glenn - good to see you at FDIC -- please contact me when you have a chance through www.commandsim.com and we can talk about simulation in training ideas. Thanks!
Please allow me to invite you to the group called HazMat Placards to Success. This group will allow firefighters to discuss a step by step process for a Hazardous Materials response. From the firefighter to the hazmat technician. The first step has been posted in the group, with many more steps to come.
Please allow me to invite you to the group called Unique HazMat Incidents. I will be presenting this at 2009 FDIC and would love to hear some of your thoughts. We are currently talking about some real interesting issues.

Thank you for the information. When will the new book be out? I am always interested in reading about fire history and using information form different sources in my class. Thanks again and Stay Safe Bro.
Glenn,
I am currently teaching a Firefighter 1&2 class and a question was asked of me that I know you have the answer to. We are covering fire history and I was asked what the building that the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory is currently today if it is still standing? I thank you for your help with this question. I also want to say thanks for calling for the opening investigation into the Beverly Hills Supper Club. Stay Safe Bro.
Glenn, I,am glad that you have a interest in the Beverly Hills Fire. Dave and others have alot of information that has never been heard before. Like I said alot of information is out there but getting people to talk about this Fire might be like pulling teeth.Jack

I actually knew the answer to the trivia question this week--about the fire plug!
I think I learned it from your Arcadia book.
Hope all's well.
