Bio:
Hey, I am Louise. I am a assistant chief in Honesdale Fire Department but also I am a committed writer and believe in quality and excellent performance. I think The greatest thing any fledgling writer must do is study his or her craft. Especially the variegated stages of writing. Learn them well, and remember never ever break them. I start with homework help for college and get a lot of experience from it. They are tried and true methods. Learn it first or you will eventually after much heartache and frustration learn them later. The writing craft is simple - learn it well and you will succeed, go at it the wrong way and you will fail. The choice is yours. If you want to just write for yourself you can truly do it any way you want to. However if you want to be taken seriously as a writer. Learn the craft well; you would not want a doctor operating on you if he was not trained - people don't want to read a writer who has not been trained either. So I would like to become a professional

Sound Tactics in Baltimore

Two Person Wearing Protective Gears

An excellent article by Annie Linskey in today's highlights firefighting tactics. The story revolves around the fire reported.

Some highlights:

  • An air horn blasted. It was another warning to evacuate. The men got out so quickly they left their hoses in the tower. Less than a minute later, the church steeple collapsed.
  • It was unlikely that firefighters could have done anything to save the church,…

Firefighters Not Wearing Protective Equipment

Yellow Hard Hat on Brown and Yellow Fireman's Suit

Never being particularly fond of PPE, my opinion used to be "if it happens, it happens." I've got a booster line, two guys who have been on the job forever and these fires are a dime a dozen. Push comes to shove I spend a little time in the burn unit at MUSC (There's no longer a burn unit).

Then one day, while training at the drill tower with PPE on, an ember went down my back because I wore my collar in much the…
