Bio:
Volunteer with the (now defunct) Naugatuck VFD from 1982 until 1985 and with the volunteer ambulance corps from 1983 to 1985.

Started with the Naugatuck Fire Department as a fire fighter in 1985, promoted Lieutenant 1990, Captain in 1997, 2nd Asst. Chief in 2000, and Deputy Chief in 2005.

I have been an instructor at the CT Fire Academy since 1994 and the Wolcott State Fire School since 1987.

I currently volunteer with the CT Urban Search and Rescue team, CT-TF1 as a hazardous materials specialist.

Over the past 4 years, I have become involved in local and regional emergency management. Past projects have included rewriting the town emergency operations plan, developing procedures for using the emergency operations center, and planning several tabletop and functional exercises with towns in the greater Waterbury area.

Currently I serve as chair of the Naugatuck Emergency Management Advisory Council which handles emergency planning and LEPC functions for the town.

I also chair of the Emergency Planning Committee of the Council of Governments of the Central Naugatuck Valley, which coordinates emergency management grants, planning, and exercises among 13 towns.

My wife Ann and I have a 13 year old boy and 11 year old boy\girl twins. They are active in soccer, basketball, skateboarding, dance and other activities.
