Bio:
I got my very first taste of firefighting from my father who served for 30 years in the fire service as a volunteer. As a child I remember him going to calls and even going to a few as I grew up. As I approached graduating high school I found an interest in it and joined my local volunteer fire department in rural Indiana. After graduating high school I went to community college and then transferred to Eastern Kentucky University. During my time at EKU I served in various roles. I was the president of one of the student fire and emergency service organizations. Worked my way up to Captain at a local volunteer fire department in Richmond Kentucky. Served as a co-op firefighter for Madison County Fire Department. While attending college I took one summer and done an internship with Loveland Symmes Fire Department in southwestern Ohio. While I was there I gained substantial knowledge in fire suppression, command structure, maintenance, Ems, and much more. After my internship I returned to school and continued to volunteer in both Indiana and Kentucky. After graduating EKU with a bachelors in Arson, Explosion Investigation I was offered a job by Loveland Symmes Fire Department where I currently am a full-time firefighter/paramedic.
