Sign up for the FDIC 2011 Courage and Valor Fun Run

Here is the link for us to sign up for the FDIC 2011 Courage and Valor Fun Run. Every man and woman who attends FDIC should run in this run. We are the one in 100, the leaders of the fire service, we are the ones who must set the example, we are the ones who must walk the walk and talk the talk. You can't tell me someone is a firefighting safety advocate and then have that person be incapable of running or walking a simple 5K. It's disingenuous to call yourself serious about firefighter health and wellness and not be serious about your own personal health and wellness. Here's the link let's try to break 1000 this year we broke 500 last year!

This is a great cause to raise money for and those who recieve this award greatly deserve it.

I'm hoping to make it there this year since I'm working on getting healthier and a run would be a fun way to show my improvements! If I could only find some extra cash among the bills or maybe a sponsor who would offer to pay the way, I'd be ecstatic! Hoping maybe FE and FDIC Online will be giving away another trip to FDIC as a prize again this year.

Here's hoping for more than 1000 participants and remember you can party after your run/walk!
