Where firefighters come to talk training

The International Code Council is looking to require fire sprinkler systems in new construction for one- and two-family dwellings.

How many departments have such residential fire sprinkler systems within their jurisdiction? If so, is this a mandatory ordinance? Where is the benefit from this, the citizen, FD, builder, or insurance company? Does your community see a resistance to the change for better fire protection services provided for these one- and two-family dwelling?
