Brothers and Sisters,
Everyday we swore to never forget and to honor those who gave their all, let us also pray for those who are hurting and looking for answers. September 11th is a day of celebration for the lives that we knew and lost before that day, on that day and those that have followed. Whether you attend a ceremony or are on the job or on vacation, please take a moment to reflect and honor those who have gone before us as you go about your day.
We pray for comfort and healing and that we have the faith in God that His will be done for hope and healing for the victims and those suffering from illness related to 9/11 and their families. I also ask that we pray for guidance and for open hearts and minds that we all could be one body in Christ to forgive those that did this and to pray for those who need God in their life.
Whatever faith you are of, it doesn't matter because we are one family and one body in a picture bigger than we know. As we look to the future, let us learn from those gone before us so we can lead those behind us and let us not be a name on the walk of honor but to walk and live in their honor.
God I pray for all those who protect and serve this country in the military or as public servants, that they fullfil their calling you have guided them to and as we go about our days you have planned for us let not one good deed go undone and let it be in your honor that you would receive all the praise and glory.
In Jesus name, Amen
