- Hey,
As an update to yesterday, the Linn Valley Lakes Fire Department Fire
Chief was killed in the Line of Duty Wednesday when he was pinned
between a backing fire apparatus and a parked vehicle. Fire
Chief Stanley L. Giles, 69,
became trapped between a 1976 Ford
fire apparatus, driven by FF Brian L. Hall, 47, and another fire
department vehicle about 1545 hours. Hall was attempting to back the
truck into the fire bay (following a fire call) when the Chief was
struck and killed. Linn Valley is in Linn County about 100 miles
southeast of Topeka.
