Where firefighters come to talk training

I have 22 years of Vol. Fire Service, 3 years as a State Fire Instructor, Past Assist. Chief, current Captain and Training Officer...I have no trouble going through the door on a line or taking the roof to vent, BUT....the idea of going back to school has never sat well in my gut.
It may be due to the fact that I didn't do as well as I could have growing up, but that was a long time ago. What I need is a plan.
What should I do first to get started? Finances have always troubled me as well, when it came to continuing my education.
Any comments would be helpful. Thanks.

Sorry it took so long for anyone to get back to you....I hope you have decided to continue your education. My advice just take it slow...start with one class and go from there, I would suggest getting a private party loan vs a government student loan they tend to give them out more freely and approve you for more money.

Just take your time and concentrate on the class....and if you need help get a tutor.
