Bio:
I got bitten by the emergency response bug in 1957 on joining the Riva, MD VFD, and responding with Independant Fire Co of the Annapolis, MD FD. A semester at the U. of MD spending more time on Wheaton Rescue apparatus than in classes took me to the USAF and into "serious" fire protection, which brought me to Spain in 1962 where I have been ever since. I got out of fire protection for a few years, but employment in a consulting engineering firm brought me back in the mid1970's. Since then I have been involved in firte protection systems installations, fire fighting vehicle design, construction and delivery training, emergency response plan development and implantation and fire department training untile my "retirement" late 2006. I am a member of the Board of Governors of Spain's fire fighter association, ASELF, coordinating editorial content of their magazine, FUEGO, and still delivering specific training courses, including HOT sessions at the Spanish firefighters Congresses.

George,

Great to read your input. My daughter studied in Segovia last year as a student at Ball State. Her experience in Spain was wonderful for the development of independence and maturity. The people of Spain were wonderful and her host "mother" was a very special person who nurtured and guided her. I will look forward to your discussions. Please include me as you educate us yankees regarding the Spanish fire service.

George,
Welcome to this group. I look forward to getting as much knowledge as possible from you. Also, I look forward to asking you about how they do things in Spain. I am anxious to learn about the Spanish Fire Service as I know nothing about it. Look forward to sharing information with you.
Regards,
Chris

Frank,
I'm capable of hitting a key and dumping my entire RAM. Let me know how I can contribute to the cause. I jus sent a note to Chris Pepler on Flashover. I have developed a 2 day HOT course on this for Spanish firefighters, with what is considered as one of the most complete, no nonsense texts on the subject. The only glitch is that it's in Spanish.
Looking forward to sharing knowledge and experiences.

Hi George
I remember when you asked for the permission to do so, and I was honored that you considered my articles for republication in FUEGO. Thank you again.
