Looking to Gain Knowledge!

I believe that the day I stop learning is the day to quit this job. I'm looking for anyway to increase my knowledge in all subjects pertaining to the fire service. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Will you be attending Dune Land Fire School or Bloomington?? I will be in Indy the weekend of April 5/6 for Nascar/Motorsports training and will be spending the entire week for FDIC..any of your guys going to any of these trainings-great opportunities to network and gain knowledge!

Hi Jim,

I would definitely get one of Chief John Salka's "First In, Last Out; Leadership Lessons form the New York Fire Department." You can get a copy of it through www.FireEngineeringBooks.com

Take a look while you're at their website and you'll see a bunch of great books and DVDs. It will be hard to pick one over another but you do good with any of it. It's all very good!!

Jim we could use your input in our Tactical Building Blocks group. We are on page 2 of groups.
This group will focus on aggressive interior firefighting. We will address tactics that increase your chance of not getting jammed up and cover what actions to undertake if you do.We will cover some big issues as well as small tactical tips
