- Essentials Of Firefighting, Structrual Burns,Aerial Ops, Rural Water Movement, Pumping Operations, Highway Incident Safety, EVOC, Volunteer Fire Service Management, Recruitment and Retention, I also offer special sessions and condulting on problem solving and negotiations that are developed specific to a problem.

- Bio:
- I have been a member of the fire service community since December of 1967. Became Fire Chief in 1979 which is a position I currently maintain in an all volunteer department. The department protects a resident population of 9000 and a daytime population of approximately 15,000. Operations include two stations with 16 pieces of equipment, including two aerials, three engines, one water tender, one rescue, one squad, one brush unit, one command vehicle and a full compliment of support vehicles,trailers and water and ice rescue equipment. I srongly support mentoring new and old members in order to insure continuity of operations as officer positions change or evolve. I strongly support a paramilitary culture as well as a conscious effort for constant training. I believe in the principal that the fire service must be operated as big business and that many business and management practices can and should be used in the daily operation. I enjoy attending training sessions and seminars in order to stay on top of a changes and new techniques. I also enjoy restoring Jeep vehicles and attending Jeep Only Off Road events. I have been married for 37 years and have two grown children and three grandchildren who are a priority over all else! I have been employed in local government for the past 23 years and currently hold the position of Director of Public Services.
