Bio:
I joined the fire department in January 2003 in a town I had lived in for only a couple of months. I had always wanted to be a firefighter and when I moved away from home to go to college I finally got the chance. I was received into Beekmantown Fire Department with open arms. I took as many training courses as I could between college and part-time jobs and attended other functions like the Project Prom and Fire Prevention at the Clinton County Fair. Five months in the department I went to the county fairgrounds to help set up the fire prevention building and was introduced to the man I would eventually marry. Eleven months in the department I moved to Peru to live with Mark (who had been in PFD for years) and quickly joined their fire department.
I have a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Geology. I make my living as a Lab Director for an Environmental Testing Lab, Endyne Inc.
We are both still active members of the Peru Fire Department. We are proud members of Red Knights NY Chapter 34. We love working together, training together, and learning together.
