- Jeffrey Pindelski is an 18 year plus student of the fire service. Jeff is a Battalion Chief with the Downers Grove Fire Department in Illinois.
Prior to becoming a Chief officer, he served for 12 years as a Firefighter and Lieutenant on a Truck and Heavy Rescue Company. In addition to his background in a career position, he has also served on departments in a volunteer and part time capacity.
Jeff is an instructor at the College of Du Page and also instructs fire service courses on an independent basis nation wide. He is a Certified Instructor III and Fire Officer III through the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress while also being certified as a Fire Suppression Incident Safety Officer by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications.
Chief Pindelski holds a Masters Degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University, a Graduate Certificate in Managerial Leadership and a Bachelors Degree from Western Illinois University.
He has been involved with the design of several training programs dedicated to firefighter safety and survival. Jeff is the coauthor of the text R.I.C.O., Rapid Intervention Company Operations and is a revising author of the Firefighter's Handbook, 3rd edition.
Chief Pindelski was a recipient of the State of Illinois Firefighting Medal of Valor in 1998 and has been published in several trade journals on various fire service related topics.

Hope the RICO class is a huge success this year again. I was fortunate enough to take it 3 years ago now and I learned a tremendous amount from the instructors that were there.

I started as a Chaplain in Romeoville, IL 25 years ago.. I know exactly where Downers Grove is! Great memories there!
Please allow me to invite you to a site designed by responders for responders... the crew that is doing it is CISM multilevel trained and are there for the guys after the bad calls. It helps the responders that do not yet have a team or would be worried that they asking for help would be seen as weakness. Please join and share it when you can.
