Where firefighters come to talk training

Hello All,

I am very aware of the issue of not being able to turn of a solar panel. What's the answer to this issue? I have two buildings that I want to put solar on the roof. What about firesafety after a earth quake or during a fire what do you do with the solar?

Stephen,

Back again. I looked into EMERGENCY OPERATIONS IN SOLAR PANELS in the web and found the very first entry:
(PDF) Fire Fighter Safety and Emergency Response for Solar Power Systems - a 93 page report by the Fire Protection Research Foundation of NFPA. Looking through it I think this will give you most of the info you are seeking.

Stephen,
I am looking into this here in Europe. The Spanish building codes require solar panels for heating domestic water in all apartment blocks built as from 2004. I know of the publication of an article on FD intervention in Germany which I am trying to get in either English or Spanish. I will try to get something for FE on this ASAP.
