This video will explain in detail an alternate method for an individual Firefighter to fasten a Full Body Hasty Harness onto a victim. This is just ONE example of the MANY types of harnesses available for rescuers to use. Some of the factors that make this harness efficient include the ability to apply it to either a Civilian or a Firefighter wearing a scba.
Another advantage is the harness can be applied to the victim whether they’re lying prone on their stomach or supine on their back. This version works extremely well for vertical rescue - Such as pulling a victim out a h*** or lowering them out a window or off a roof. Just like any piece of equipment or procedure, training and experience are key elements to determine what will be best for a specific situation.
