I completely understand the cost factor Alex - Most FFs in the US haven't purchased their own for the same reason. If you wanted something extremely simple and inexpensive you could use webbing to tie a seat harness, a length of rope and 2 carabiners. Do you have an email address?

Hola Alex!

If your question is about a Personal Escape System you have many choices - The cost of a complete system ranges from $200 - $700 US dollars.

Here is what you would need:

An Escape Belt or Harness
Rope or Webbing - The length is personal preference
A Decent Control Device (DCD)
1-2 Carabiners - 1 for attaching the system to your belt/harness and 1 for alternate deployment options
An anchoring device or hook
A storage bag is an option and not a requirement if you have pockets in your gear

Hola Alex

De incendios yo he estado escazo últimamente.
Mantengamos el contacto, un abrazo de CR

G********,

Please allow me to invite you to a site designed by responders for responders... the crew that is doing it is CISM multilevel trained and are there for the guys after the bad calls. It helps the responders that do not yet have a team or would be worried that they asking for help would be seen as weakness. Please join and share it when you can. As a chaplain with over 25 years of service to fire departments I am excited with it's potential to provide support.
