Mark, I misunderstood the story. I appologize for my comment. I am a little embarressed. Thanks for understanding and Im sorry to speak out of line. stay safe.
Mark, I saw your recent speach against firefighters and thier pensions. You should be ashamed of yourself. "Bankers and executives" did not walk into those buildings willing to lay down there lives to save others.Every life lost is equally tragic, there is no argument there. But, to downplay the sacrifice the first rsponders made, you make me sick to my stomach. Maybe you should work a tour in Brooklyn some time and see what real firefighters do every day. I think you know you would get your ass kicked in more ways than one.
Chief, I have been reading your articles from back when you were a Captain on Rescue 1 and RIT was still in its infancy. I appreciate the skills andideas you have put forth and look forward to learning from you on here.
Am pleased to join your group and to hopefully add you as a friend. Read your question regards the camera flash on the Scotchlite, best way around it is to use a dedicated flash with an adjustable head, that way you can adjust the head upwards so it is not fired direct at the reflective strips.
Also, I am really eager to be able to set up an assignment to photograph with an FDNY Company, I know that since 9/11 many restrictions have been put into place regards ride alongs and such, but are you able to assist with this at all?
Look forward to hearing back from you and to getting to know you better.
