Josh,
How the hell are you Brother? I haven't heard from you in days. Of course I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with you not picking up your phone when I call...Just Kidding Bro. I hope all is well for you and yours these days. I see you wearing a 3 Truck shield on your lid above. That is something to be proud of. Love ya, Miss ya, look forward to catchin up with ya. Be safe and as always, RFB.. Tater OUT!
Just thought I'd check in with you, how's life at the big department? Were you involved in the ceremony for the fallen officer? That was quite the deal, my whole family was glued to the tv down there and felt very moved by the tribute. RFB. I hope you are well, and whether you know it or not, you have forever earned my respect and gratitude by just being the brother that you are. Braithreachas Thar Gach Ni! Ben
Thanks man. Glad I don't have to study for another test next year now. I will definitely see ya at FDIC if not sooner in the Seattle area sometime. Have a good time at the wedding and in your marriage. The time will go by so fast and then you'll have like 7 little Materi's running around.
Hey man, if you flip the prop over it is labeled on the bottom as "The Materi" ;-) I am still working the logistics on the wedding trip. The whole issue with no child care may have doomed the deal. Did you get my e-mail detailing the situation. Hope all is good up your way.
Hey Brother: I did hear that you were gettin' hitched up to the ole' harness!@ Be sure to pledge your life to her, ...she'll appreciate that. My folks were just up, I think the last time for my father. They still ask how you're doing, they really took a likin' to you. I hope to pass through Seattle next summer, but then again, Chad and I are lookin' to get the families together someday too, maybe we'll swing a whole week or two. Never know, I may end up there for a bit in the winter, I might need a thaw.
We've got 7 probies from the Seattle area this year. Good bunch, motivated!
Thought I'd check in with you. Missed you in Maine! I've never forgotten your hospitality and brotherhood freely given to me. You'll always have a place at my table, brother! Next time I'm in Seattle we need to link up!
Thanks for your comments Josh! Teri and I were in southern Washington (Skamania County) for a wedding and stopped by SFD on the way home-ggod crew for sure-some EXCELLENT old school FF's in that house as well. Thanks-seeya soon bro, Billy G
Thanks for taking the time to listen. Make sure you regard my input with a grain of salt especially during your probationary year. You'll have to take input and filter a lot as you go but you are working with some top notch guys so listen well. Remember to ask 'why" questions. Not that we have to change everything but my leaning is that we must understand why we are doing something. Sometimes that knowledge will re-enforce that we are correct in our procedures (the wye load in two sections would be one of those) and other times we can identify evidence that indicates a need to change (glasses and gloves on aid runs). Any time you want to talk It'd make my day.
Looks like you are almost done, eh? Excellent!!! All good here. Had a great time at FDIC. Met some more great people as always. Life is good on my end. Sitting # 15 I think on the LT's list with several guys retiring in the future. List expires in February so hopefully I will make it. I have the date saved and we are looking to get the baby off the boob by then so my wife and I can make a long weekend of it. Hopefully I can get another trip up there before then with some things in the works. Let me know what station you end up at with SFD.
Yeah, those are always good offshift assignments. Sorry I never got around to introducing myself. Nice work out there, tho. Have fun in your last week! See you out there soon...Mandella
Lets grab a beer that sounds good.. I still laugh about the sophisticated mans drink.. that was funny one little sippy sip of that had the old leiu on L72 curling at his toes..
