Dang the heat wave. And if you can feel a 4.0 then it must've been close. As far as the small stuff, I am not worried about it. My chain is not that long that it can be yanked that easily. BUT, despite what it appears, I DO have a lot on my plate. Namely getting ready for ISO to visit my volunteer department. oy vey and huzzah.

Brother, I hate I missed what Ray had to say, but I think after hearing his statement for pulling it. What he said may have been what all of us want to say and are afraid to,he done it for us sounds like. Yea its bad for him it sounds like by having to go to the HQ, hopefully the higher ups will understand where he was coming from. And I hope everything works out in his favor the Brotherhood will stand by him I know. If you here of anything else on this or see it anywhere let me know please, so I can see it also. As far as Chief Halton doing what he did he did it because its what he thought was the right thing to do. I think he would have done that for anyone of us to keep from causing any trouble or bad vibes on any Dept. Take care and talk to ya soon my friend.

Hey brother...

Just chatted with Raul a few days back. He is doing well at Ladder 6 in the Queen Anne area of Seattle. Still actively involved in doing training and host of other stuff.

Are you headed to FDIC this year? Grab ahold of me somewhere there if you are...

I'd love to come up your way if you think the troops would be interested. Give me a shout and we'll what we can do.

Keep rockin' bro

Funny you should ask. I was assigned to Central Firehouse, Engine 1. However starting next day I am going to Engine 4/Medic 4. Engine 1 is the busiest engine in the city and I will miss that firehouse (especially meals when everyone, upto 18 guys, all ate together). 4's is a great house with a great company. 4's also catches more fires and its location is in a rougher part of town, which allows for more legit medical runs.

Its going to be different but I am down with it.

I am not sure how much good I will be. I am usually left out of the loop when it comes to speccing out a truck. In my department the main thing we look for is a height of under 10 feet and a price we can afford, usually less than 20k. Which means 30+ years or older trucks.
