Where firefighters come to talk training

The Star Of Life symbol represents many things; Detection, Reporting, Response, On-Scene Care, Care In Transit, Transfer to Definitive Care, and at the center of it all is the ancient Greek symbol, the Staff of Asclepius. However, my interpretation has another element - Accountability For Your Actions. For those of us lucky enough to provide not only fire and rescue protection, but medical care for our community, we can not become complacent and/or negligent in our duties.

The Star of Life is a symbol of hope and healing, but if not respected, it can become a icon of inefficiency and distrust for our community.

Don’t let the snake bite you! Do what’s right and safe.
