Where firefighters come to talk training

  Lately , it's been hard for me to talk shop , but while standing at my Sister's Wake , a few days ago , something had struck me , and that was how much of an Influence she had been as an educator for over 33 years . Watching and listening to her former students and fellow Educator's whom she taught and worked with, I began to realize that what she talking was what those Instructors over the years had had been trying to tell me. I took my sister for granted , thinking she never knew much about what I was doing as a Firefighter , but it dawned on me at her wake , it's all but education and taking the time to listen .

   And she had educated me , back in September of this year making me accept the fact that she was going to die and I that I needed to accept it, which after 2 and half hours of what I call a come to Jesus meeting I finally accepted . The hardest part was that she helped me through a difficult time just before she passed when another member of the family was diagnosed with Cancer [ Yes The Biggest MUTT of all ] , she got me to realize that I'm going to be the go guy no matter what .

 After listening to all those former students and Friends of hers I now know she was as dedicated as an Educator as  I am with my passion for being a Firefighter. The words she always used and are inscribed on a Plaque in her honor just before she passed;

"Always Remember who you are and what you Represent"

Were the words she had conveyed to many and in the long run she finally has conveyed them to me .
