Where firefighters come to talk training

Well, as promised, I will be posting sketches created during this year's FDIC. I will update this post as I complete the drawings in turn - enjoy! And if you recognize yourself, don't send hate mail - remember, it's all in good fun:)

This gentleman had just checked in at the registration desk and was obviously VERY excited about what was in his welcome bag. I loved his childlike enthusiasm in attending the conference - we should all be so eager!! I saw him a few times during the week and he was smiling each time - you gotta love it!

This fireman was returning from the day's H.O.T. class and was visibly exhausted. Carrying two gear bags and matted with dirt and sweat, he still managed to shoot me a weary smile when we made eye contact. He obviously enjoyed the ass-kicking he had just received - my guess is he came back on Tuesday for another:)

I had the opportunity on Wednesday to stop by a few H.O.T. sites with Tim "The Legend" Olk - the travel to these sites is a story all on its own! While at the 1403 Live Burn class I saw this young sister sitting for a quick breather after one of the sessions. I loved the inscription on her helmet - love the attitude!!

Had a fun time and met some great people!
