Where firefighters come to talk training

Somethings I think I think ( November, 2010 )

Several years ago, one of my favorite writers, Phil Musick, wrote a column for the Pittsburgh Press. He titled it as I have titled this. This is how I pay tribute to him and his work. May he rest in peace.

Somethings I think I think ( November , 2010 )

It’s so hard to step out of something you have been doing for a long time.

Making rules and setting examples is one thing. Being prepared to follow them yourself, is another thing.

Digging a h*** is sometimes faster than filling it .

Walking uphill is a challenge, for your push can lead to the top. Walking uphill backwards is tough and dangerous, for a push may make you fall over quickly on the other side..

To me, the sound of “I love you, daddy” is the best sound there is.

I feel sad for my kids and yours too. We had some great role models. They will have Xbox and PS 1, 2 and 3 as theirs.

Having said that, remember when “call to duty” meant to serve, in some capacity? Now it means to sit on your a**.

The challenges you have faced have laid the groundwork for the challenges ahead.

“Black Friday” seems like such a bad term to prepare for such a great holiday and holyday.

Go figure. Former U.S. Attorney General Mary Beth Buchanan was apparently investigated by the Feds for misuse of spending the government’s ( our ) money for expensive hotel stays. Dr. Wecht, did you hear that?

I’m only stopping here to prepare for the challenge of Christmas shopping.
