May 13 & 14, 2010 - Lewisville, Texas

This is going to be another great event!! The 2010 Keeping Tradition Alive Symposium is set for May 13-14, 2010. Again we will be offering the best Honor Guard and Pipe & Drum instruction that can be found anywhere.

At this year’s symposium you will get 2 full days of instruction. Thursday evening we have a public event planned that will bring together one of the largest gatherings of Fire Department Pipe & Drum musicians and Honor Guard members this side of FDIC.

Registration for the event is $50. Meals and all transportation will be provided. We are limiting the symposium to 350 attendees so register now!

Day 1 – May 13th
0700 – 0845 Registration and Meet and Greet
(Continental breakfast provided to all attendees)
0845 – 1000 Opening Ceremonies and General Session
1000 – 1130 Vender meet and greet and attendee networking
1130 – 1300 Lunch (Provided to all attendees)
1300 – 1630 Breakout Sessions
1900 - 2200 Jam session, meet and greet, beer garden and dinner (Dinner provided to all attendees). Shuttle for those that need it from the hotel to this event will be provided starting at 1700 hours and run until 0200

Day 2 – May 14th
0730 (Continental breakfast provided to all attendees prior to breakout sessions)
0830 – 1130 Breakout Sessions
1130 – 1300 Lunch (Provided to all attendees)
1300 – 1700 Breakout Sessions
*Transportation to and from the airport and Thursday evening’s event will be furnished.

We are currently in the process of starting our Color Guard. I have forwarded this info to our Chief. Hopefully we can make something happen in light of our current fiscal situation.

This sounds like and wonder-full event,which I wish i lived closer.
I love to go to St.Patricks Day parade in March,there i see the NYFD and listen to their pipes and drums.Many Fire Departments are in the parade.This parade in Savannah Georgia is the second largest in the USA. I have been going for years.,since I am from Georgia.
