Journal-Entry #25-“Killer Show”

By Ron KantermanI got a feeling that you opened this because we just got home from FDIC. In fact it was a killer show. It was my 23rd FDIC and it simply gets better each year. For me, it’s a family reunion and for one week, it’s the center of our universe. Great training, great expo and great times. Start saving now for next year. It rolls around quick. “Killer Show” is actually the title of a book (John Barylick, University Press of New England) that was recently released, and chronicles the…See More

RON KANTERMAN commented on John Salka's group Fire Service Leadership
"All-Nice to be here with the Leadership gang. As a student and deliverer of leadership, my studies have taken me to one basic concept. Look at any failed system in the world. Countries, the economy, the banks, Wall Street, etc. It was all…"

MW 2011

We have seen the MW grow each year by leaps and bounds and then things dropped off a bit. We know times are tight but we also know that America's firefighters are best at remembering our own, like few other groups do. As Chief of Operations each year at MW, I can tell you first hand that we can accommodate more people on the campus on Sunday for the main ceremony. I'd like to urge America's firefighters to come to the campus of the National Fire Academy on October 16, 2011. It will change your…See More
