I honestly don't believe that I am an expert on anything. However, that said, I do have a great deal of experience and observations in a busy firefighting fire department that has more than it's fair share of economic, community and fire service challenges. I have some very strong opinions and feelings about the leadership issues that face the fire service in regards to "Risk Assessment" on the fireground
Bio:
Mike Alder is currently a Battalion Chief for the San Bernardino City Fire Department in Southern California. He has 26 years of fire service experience and has been instructing for several years on subjects such as Command & Control and Risk Assessment on the Fire Ground, Truck Company Operations, Building Construction, High-Rise Operations for Smaller Fire Departments and Leadership issues for Company and Chief Officers. He holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration as well as an A.S. Degree in Fire Science.
