Patti, no offense taken. Now I'm sorry you mis-took what I said as being offended. It is the one problem I have with post, you simply cannot hear voice inflection or read body language, which serves as much better forms of communication. I truly e...

The Precious Faith fire, ten years later.

As I sit to write this post, I am overwhelmed with many emotions. For the past ten years, I have found myself torn between celebrating the love of valentine's day and the memory of my three lost brothers. The events of Feb. 15, 1999 came on the heels of romance and love for all of us at station 13. We all started that day, the 15th, satisfied we had passed yet another milestone of roses and thoughtfully written cards. Our respective spouses willingly allowed us to run to the morning tone of stru… Continue

The eyes of my grandfather

I had occasion the other day to spend a considerable amount of time with one of today's youth. I was interested to speak with him due to all the discussion nowdays about the state of today's younger generation. I know it seems to be a topic the fire service is finding more and more worth while to address. I see this issue raise in the specific areas of training and management of new firefighters. So on to my meeting, I hope you find it as eye opening as I did.

I was taking an afternoon to mysel… Continue

Dear Friend,

Please allow me to invite you to the group called HazMat Placards to Success. This group will allow firefighters to discuss a step by step process for a Hazardous Materials response. From the firefighter to the hazmat technician. The first step has been posted in the group, with many more steps to come.

Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. I have been out of town and I needed to check with Roger. He said he is willing to do the class again we just need to pick a C-shift day so he and I are both off. Call me at 817-929-1108 and we can pick a couple of days to look at.

Thanks

I see the same thing. Foreign persons joining the community and spamming the members. Unfortunately it is something that is hard to weed out, all we can do is delete them as soon as we see them. If you come across anyone you think warrants a further look, by all means let me know.
