Bio:
Joseph Knitter is a 27-year veteran of the fire service. After starting his full-time career in South Milwaukee in 1985, Joe progressed through the ranks to his current assignment as a Fire Captain.

Joe served as the department Training Officer for 13 years and served two terms as President of the Milwaukee County Fire Training Officers. Joe also instructs in the State Certification program for Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and has presented his program entitled "Fighting Fires at Fast-food Restaurants" at local, State and National conferences, including FDIC.

Joe has an AAS in Fire Science from MATC and a BS in Fire Science Management from Southern Illinois University and is currently enrolled in the Executive Fire Officer program at the National Fire Academy.
