Hey man how have you been? Things are good here. Finally got out of the pizza business and got a full time gig at North Whatcom. What dept are you with? Looks like new gear. Russ is in San Diego doing well for himself, and loving having a 4 y/o. Folks are good...living off Offit lake road. Have you been up to anything fun/good?

Hey Bruddah... Great to hear from you and I really appreciate all the kind words...

I am thrilled to hear the keynote was enjoyed and gave some spark to your people... That was my prayers as I prepared it... Can't ever remeber being as afraid as I was that morning... White hot terror, amigo...

If you shoot me your email at michael.gagliano@seattle.gov, i'll email you some of the stuff we've done... I can also try to remember to include that email when I send those out...

Hope to catch up with you someday soon...

Keep up the great work and ride to the sound of the guns!

What we have done in the past with the cadets was they would have to wear an SCBA while doing the station duties (cleaning bathrooms etc.) and then they have to finish up the bottle on a treadmill. Another firefighter and myself are trying to come up with something more realistic. I'll let you know what we come up with.

Jimmy,
Thanks for the info. I saw the video at the "Out of Air" class at FDIC last year and it got me fired up to get an Air Management program started for my department. Unfortunately a lot of the guys on our department have become very complacent when it comes to SCBA use - I hope to change that. I hope the video will get there attention as it did mine. Thanks again.

Jim,
I think you are trying to contact Jimmy Grostick and somehow your comment got routed to me. The only group I have joined is Air Management. Your CSF group sounds pretty interesting. I know my department could use more common sense.
