hose testing

We used a company called Waterway inc. to test our fire hose. It takes the liability off the fire dept and gives more time to train. They will load and unload the hose, number it, test and inspect it. They also keep records and give you copy's. NFPA says we need to test our ladders, fire hose's and pumps. So we hire somebody to do the pumps and ladders. So we don't have the liaibilty on us as a fire dept. Why not the hose? I have no connection to this company except for them testing our hose.

We just used a company called Waterway inc to test our hose at Cortland. We would recommend and will use this company again. Yes it costs money to do, but the liability is off the fire dept if a hose brakes and hurts or kills somebody. They test, unload and load the rigs to your spec, number the hose, keep records and inspect the hose. Which would give the firefighters more time to train and do our inspections. Sometime change is good
