Where firefighters come to talk training

Viennese Room(s, Beverly Hills Supper Club, 1977

This room would subdivide into 3 smaller rooms. Just to the left of the Baccarat chandalier, you see a small wall. That is hiding a partian folding wall that pulled out from behind a small vertical door. The partitian walls were wallpapered to match the decor in the room exactly, the "Maria Teresa" style (or Rococo). A doctor's party (physicians at St. Luke Hospital in Ft. Thomas) and a barmitzva were taking place in these rooms with a band, right up until the fire occured in the adjoining room, the Zebra Room. Two bodies were found among the rubble in this room from upstairs changing rooms (which had collapsed): Sharlene Matthews (age 28)from the Cincinnati Choral Union went to save the life of a model who was trapped by the fire and smoke in the second floor changing rooms. It was located just above this room at the far end in the distance where a bar stood. These ladies were the first to die in the fire and were found Monday, May 30, 1977 (the last bodies to be recovered). Wayne Dammert, Banquet Captain that night, knew of the ladies' location, yet was unable to save them due to progressed nature of the fire at the Spiral Stairs location nearby.
