I am glad to be included in this group. I worked for the US Forest Service before I became a structural firefighter and I like to keep up with what is new on the wildland front. I hope I can relay some good information and learn some new things as they come.

It's good to have a good relationship with your local forestry agency. They are too common a forgotten resource in the fire service.

While not a wildland firefighter, I respond to many wildland and interface fires due to living in a rural county. We work very closely with State Forestry here, and are fortunate to have a good rapport with them.
