Chief Rick Lasky is presenting his Pride and Ownership Seminar at the National Park FD on Saturday August 13th, 2011 from 0800-1700. Chief Lasky is a 30 year veteran of the fire service and also presents at FDIC. If you've never heard him speak, get to this seminar! You won't regret it. Search for him on youtube to find out what he's all about. In today's fire service, with manpower and morale issues at an all time low, a seminar like this might just be the thing that your membership needs to reignite their passion for this job. Glad to be here. Anything Glenn Corbett does is top shelf. Sorry I haven't signed up before. I guess it's ironic that I'm member 343 and the traditions that have come out of the WTC 9/11 attacks will live forever. Remember brothers and sisters; embrace our history, don't erase our history.

Our local volunteer fire department has an old fire bell that was originally used at the firehouse in 1909. I am looking for information on "bell codes" that may have been used back in the day to signify units in service and/or out of service.

Does anyone in the group have a list of bell codes or can you direct me in the right location?

Well I'm pretty excited to be apart of this group. I'm new to the site and really have not been around to long. However I'm a pretty big advocate about Tradition in the Fire Service. It is one thing that can keep morale boosted in the FD if taught and used properly. Look forward to all the new information I will retain from being a member of, "Tradition."
