What is the point of discussion here? Blathering about our Leathers? HELL, I CAN DO THAT!!

I wear the N6A, and absolutely love it!! A chief I know commented that Leather helmets were nothing but EGO, ........I must be an EGOmaniac! Seriously, the thing I like about the N6A is that it sits low on the head, I don't feel like I'm gonna get my neck ripped off like when you wear the newer lightweight stuff. My neck did have to beef up for the weight, that took a while, but now, 5 years later, I'm never goin' back. Its in the blood now.

It is a lot of mone up front but you Will Not regret having a leather lid! I have had mine for 4 years and I love it! The only problem I am dealing with now is a new Chief and Asst. Chief who both do not like Leather.

Next time you get a chance do some searching for like musters in your area or in surrounding states. A lot of times they will have swap meets. Ebay is good too...just have to ask questions on serviceability. The Fire Store .com runs sales. Of course going to conferences...a lot of times reps will want to sell the stuff they brought to avoid paying for shipping back to them and past the savings on to you.

KTF...you will find one. I was on the job for 20 years before I bought my first leather!
