Are you a member of the Hazmat Fusion Center?

This is a free resource for emergency responders and provides you with a forum area to talk about incidents, training, and tools.  It also allows you to enter and review reports as a team.  Check it out and be sure to register.  This program is through the IAFC.

Kevin,
E-mail me at 'prt1231@yahoo.com'. I have a copy of the checklist that the PA Emergency Managment Agency uses to certify their hazmat teams that I can send you. It might be a good reference and a place to start.

Hey Brothers-
I need some information. I have been assigned to come up with a plan to fix the holes in our team abilities. This has become a bit more than I was prepared to chew. Does any one have any good ideas as to where to start?

Hello Haz Mat experts. I have been tasked with completing an SOP on decon of an engine or haz mat vehicle. In other words, if an engine got to close to a scene, how does your department decon the piece of apparatus? Do you spray it off with large amounts of water? Do you try to capture the run off? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have been asked to teach the annual operations refresher for the entire fire department, including fire police and EMS. Last year I found a video intro to the ERG, that went OK, it was a little long. I want to emphasize stay safe (approach from uphill and upwind, ID the chemical, etc.) and call the HazMat team ASAP. Does anyone know where I can find a visual program, such as PowerPoint, video, or slides, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. TIA
