Well, winter is here in Maine. I'm a float Lt. and am covering in our Marine division. We just had one of our Island communities come in with a patient from a fall. Right now we are experiencing a "Nor'easter" which is bringing freezing rain and sleet. So they pulled up to the floating dock next to our berth and we helped them get the patient (possible broken hip/upper femor) up the gang way to our ambulance. Even with ice melt put down, we had to call an engine company into the still alarm and use a rope on the stretcher to get to up the gang way due to the ice!! Some might think that this was overkill, but noone fell, slipped, pulled muscles etc. 8 plus members to do a simple transfer to an ambulance!

Sorry it's been awhile since I posted anything. We have had a quite a few fires in our area lately that I have missed and I'm a little bummed but what can you do when your spending time with family. I will add the links to the news pages as soon as I find them.
