Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

We were in South Schenectady, New York last night delivering our "Thermal Insult Recognition" class. TIR is a fresh look at today's modern fire dynamics. A strong focus on the "science" from NIST and UL of today's fires, fuels and FETC's look at the limitations of our PPE.  Every firefighter needs to understand the power of just 60-80 seconds of unchecked fire. Why bad things happen to good firefighters and your previous training may be the root cause.  We had a good turnout (60) from SSFD and many neighboring M/A departments. Here is a pic with Chief Mike France (SSFD) FE Member in front of their newest KME Pumper/Tanker.  Thanks to SSFD for hosting FETC.
