Where firefighters come to talk training

Brothers,
I am looking for some resources for our upcoming Lt's. exam. The two text books for our written exam are Chief Dunn's Strategy of Firefighting and John Wooden on Leadership. They are both great books and an easy read, but I was looking for any other resources to go with them. Any help would be appreciated!

Are you taking the tests or part of the selection process developing the tests?
I am a candidate taking the test. These texts are part of our reading list.
i just took our department lt. test. it had questions on nfpa codes, our emergency action plans, leadership issues, ff1 and 2, driver/operator, and inspection codes. while this is a lot of reading, it would do you well to know it.
An excellent book that I have found tremendously helpful in my preparation for an upcoming promotional exam is titled, “MASTERING the Fire Service Assessment Center” by Anthony Kastros. The author talks about the full spectrum of knowledge, skills & abilities needed to be successful in the promotional process. There is a section dedicated to simulations, motivation and even some sample questions. Most notably, the author emphasizes the need to prepare for the POSITION, rather than just focusing all your energy on the exam. By preparing for the position, one would logically reason that any scenario or problem could be thrown your way and you should be able to handle it successfully. Hope this helps and good luck to everyone out there! -M
