Ok my friend, while I'm tired I'll bite! Get your hand off the pistol grip! Get the line in front of you and you it the way you're supposed to. the obvious fun stuff like whether the nozzle is a fog or smooth bore or both would be helpful as well! This should get us started Brother!
How bout procedures for correctly calling for water, and emergency protocols such as evacuation?
Simple things: First Training on the Procedures
Then perhaps, color coding and labeling particular nozzles and locations.
Calling for water would include radio protocols or the very reliable face to face method with the pump operator.
Evacuation procedures including loss of water, airhorns, pager/radio emergency signals with message, opening and restricting water flow to the nozzle in 3 successive motions....
These are but a few I am sharing now.....I am sure you all have many more to add.
How to get water and what to do if lost or need to evacuate is important to all levels of experience. Should be part of training on the basics.
How about a simple one......
don't drop my nozzle, don't drag my nozzle, don't disrespect my nozzle.
The life it saves may be your own........
