Where firefighters come to talk training

Somewhere I saw or heard about a prop built for extinguisher training that used propane.
Anyone have plans for such a prop?
Thanks!

Hey, Roger. We have one at my dept. that we bought from Kidde. It is a square, stainless steel tub that you fill water. In the bottom it has what looks like a gas grill burner that runs the perimeter. This is hooked to a 20lb propane tank with a (10' ?) hose. It has a remote deadman switch that ignites it, and turns it off. Fill it with water, push the button, and poof. Instant fire. The water makes the gas spread out and burn evenly. We use a water can with it.

Check their site. To be honest, you could make one yourself probably. If I were to build one, and didn't have to move it much, I'd use heavy gauge steel. You could use a regular extinguisher and wouldn't have to worry about corrosion from the powder as much. I'll try to post some pics from our Citizens Fire Academy, where we use it a lot. Take care.
