Where firefighters come to talk training

Looking for a few good drills for RIT that can help with the team working together and build good communication skills.  Any ideas?

Building teamwork with a RIT drill is easy and doesnt take much money!  One of the easiest and cheapest ways is to get some wax paper from the cooking section at the grocery store, crinkle it up and place it in the SCBA facepiece.  Now just doing simple tasks in full gear with your crew will immediately create a humbling environment.  Simply trying to find another "downed" firefighters shoulder strap can seem nearly impossible.  It takes time and GOOD communication to work through simple problems.  Staying oriented while moving through a room or across the apparatus bay is great.  Throw in some obstacles that the team needs to move around or threw... chairs, garbage can, hose rolls, crawl across a ground ladder, whatever you can think of.  Just keep in mind that there is a BIG difference between a "real world" drill and a drill that simply builds confidence and comfort in a basic skill set.  You need to do both.  Good luck!
