Where firefighters come to talk training

I recently interviewed for a position and am concerned because in the past I was prescribed anti-depressants. Now, I know that every department is different, but could this be grounds for an automatic rejection of my application? How in-depths do they typically go into a persons medical history?
Thanks.

People go on anti-depressants for all different reasons and various lengths of time. I don't think it should be an automatic DQ at face value. My personal advice is to disclose everything. It is better to be upfront and let the chips fall where they may, than to go through the process and get "found out" some time later (even years) and get fired for lying.

Thanks,
They didn't ask if I had ever taken any but I was just wondering if they would find out while doing their homework on me. Should I put something at the end of the Statement of Personal History (i.e. I took blah blah for 6 months due to death of mother) even if they don't ask?

NO!!! Only answer what they ask. Don't volunteer any information, I'm just saying don't lie.
